Good morning, Follow Up-pers!

This week in the coaching skills for leaders intensive, we talked about stories. Especially about the way the stories we tell direct our actions.

One of the great privileges of being a coach is being able to help clients see their stories. And to help them consider whether those stories are helping them.

Today, as you go through your follow up activities, be mindful of the stories that float up. The story prompts could be something like:

• I always do that
• They probably aren’t interested
• I’m probably bugging them

These prompts are like a shortcode to a longer story. Often of an unpleasant experience.

And ask yourself, “Is that true?”

• Do I always do that?
• Could they be interested but simply be busy?
• Could I be helping them?

Experience how that question impacts your posture. Your confidence.
